The General Electric model 7-2934A "FM/AM TV Sound 24HR Weather" handheld receiver is a compact multiband unit which offers a telescopic antenna, wrist strap, and built-in speaker. It runs on batteries or a DC adapter of the proper type.
Reception covers the AM, FM, TV sound (analog ch. 2-13), and weather bands. The GE 7-2934A has tuning and volume dials on the side; the tuning dial is larger. The band switch (along with the battery compartment and DC power jack) are on the back.
This receiver also has an earphone jack. GE manufactured many similar radios, though not all included the weather information band. Such units typically have a model number that begins with "7".
