The 4733 is a large, inexpensive white and gray box fan made of metal and plastic. It features three speed settings, a carrying handle, and a built-in two prong polarized AC power cord. According to a wattage meter, it uses 67 watts at low speed, 81 at medium, and 100 at high. The fan provides significant cooling with a fraction of the electricity an air conditioner consumes. The Galaxy 4733 measures about 20.3" wide, 22" tall, and 4.25" thick (52x56x11 cm), including the handle. The power cord is almost six feet long. The fan has two plastic "feet" to keep it from tipping over. Two of these identical Galaxy fans were used for this review, purchased a month or two apart. Both were free of defects and have functioned reliably for about two years of occasional use, so far.
