QUESTION: How long can film be left in a camera?
ANSWER: Preferably no longer than the amount of time until the film reaches its expiration date. This length will vary depending upon where you purchased the film and when it was put in the camera. The date may be printed on the roll and/or the box it came in.
However, some photos may still be processed and developed after a longer period of time. Recently I ordered prints of photographs from a ten year old roll of Kodak film removed from a camera that had been stored for a long time, and they came out fine.
