The RC-250 is a mostly white plastic flash light that plugs into a wall outlet to charge its built-in battery. It has a yellow nightlight that turns on when the AC plug is unfolded. When it is charging, a small red indicator light comes on. If the flashlight is switched on while plugged in, it is designed to remain off unless the power goes out or it is unplugged. Although the Eveready RC250 offers some useful features, it does not seem very reliable. It worked well for a year or two, but then the amount of time it would stay lighted became shorter and shorter. Now it only dimly lights for a couple seconds when switched on, although the nightlight still works. The bulb has been replaced, but it does not appear possible to replace the rechargeable battery.
