The model ES884 solar panel's surface measures about 4.75" long by approx. 3.3" wide. Despite its small size, its ability to directly power the following devices in full sunlight has been confirmed:
1. Realtone 2424 four band radio (6V, connect alligator clips to battery terminals)
2. Sanyo Pico ACE 15 small Brushless DC fan model 109P0612A704 with stripped wires (best at 6V)
3. Radio Shack TRC-92 walkie talkie (9V, use alligator clips)
4. Borg Johnson HS-912R multiband radio (3V, use plug)
5. Vector Stormtracker Elite (12V, AM/FM/light/clock only)
Similar small solar panels should also be able to power these electronic devices, if they offer the correct voltage settings and wire connections.
Using the ES884 panel to charge batteries will expand the variety of electronics it can power to include things like flashlights, wall clocks, and remote controls.
