The 3616 is a PC-compatible system that is sold with the Windows Vista operating system. According to the "Secret Guide to Computers", this model was priced at $320 USD (after rebate) in mid-2007 and it features 512MB of memory, a 120GB hard disk drive, and an AMD Sempron processor. It was sold with a mouse, keyboard, speakers, and software, but not a monitor. While such a computer may be just "adequate" for running Vista, it should run Windows XP quite well. The supposed "benefits" of Vista over XP are too few to justify adding more memory or otherwise upgrading your computer to make it perform acceptably. eMachines is a low-end computer brand that sells PCs at lower cost than HP or Acer.
