This portable vintage FM/AM receiver may be powered using batteries or a two-prong AC cord. The Electro Brand 993 is a fairly compact, square-shaped solid-state transistor unit.
It also offers a telescopic antenna, a flexible carrying handle, and a built-in speaker. The band switch, volume indicator, speaker, and tuning scale are on the front of the radio.
The ElectroBrand 993 tunes approximately 540-1600 kHz on the AM band, and 88-108 MHz FM. It has an unusual half-circle analog tuning scale. Snaps hold the back of the radio shut.
