This is a special type of mouse that connects to the joystick port of a TRS-80 CC or Tandy 1000 series system (most models). It is compatible with the DeskMate graphical user interface.

An advantage of Deluxe Color mice is that they don't require a serial or PS/2 port. If the computer does have a serial port, it can be freed up for use with a modem, data transfer cable, or other device.

This unit appeared in the 1991 Radio Shack catalog for $49.95 U.S. dollars as item number 26-3125. It was available for several years, until they stopped selling computers with joystick ports of this type (around 1992).
