DEGEN DE392 MULTIBAND RADIO

A black portable four-band receiver, the Degen DE392 has a dynamo crank, a solar panel, and a mini flashlight. It also features a carrying handle and a horizontal analog tuning scale.

The DE392's box describes it as an "environmental radio", and also promotes it for emergency use. The crank and a small solar panel are located on the back of the radio. It may be powered with batteries or a six-volt DC adapter as well. There is a built-in rechargeable battery. A switch lets the user select a power source.

The radio offers four bands of reception; SW1 (shortwave), SW2, MW (AM), and FM. The Degen DE392's shortwave bands cover most of the SW frequency range (excluding some at the beginning and end), though it would be better if the tuning scale were wider.
