This medium-sized speaker set can be used with a computer, portable CD player, tape deck, or other device that needs amplified external speakers. They are light colored and use a power adapter that is not built-in. The first speaker has a tone control, a volume knob, and a power button with indicator light. Standard 1/8" audio cords are used to connect the speakers together and to the audio device.

Sound quality is very good and the speakers are easy to set up and use. The main downside is that (according to a wattage meter) these speakers use 5 watts of electricity when turned off but plugged in, and 8 watts when turned on with no sound. It's best to unplug them when not in use, or connect them to a power strip and switch it off with the rest of your computer equipment.
