The 6512 and 6512-2 are two quite similar deluxe vintage shortwave radios. Both of these Channel Master models receive the AM ("Broadcast") and shortwave bands, but not FM.
These rectangle-shaped portable radios have a red and chrome exterior. There's an analog tuning display and a large band switch on the front panel. Other controls and jacks are on the sides.
A label on the Channel Master 6512 indicates that it tunes 3.9-12 MHz shortwave (about 29% of all SW frequencies) and 540-1600 kHz on the AM band. It also has eight transistors.
