Small bottles of eye drops often cost more than you would like to pay, sometimes exceeding $4 USD. Here are some tips on where to buy cheap eye drops in the U.S. and Canada...
1. Sometimes drug stores offer them at a reduced price for a limited period of time, or send coupons in the mail. For example, Rite Aid recently had a buy-one-get-one-free deal on their generic eye drops. Another week they offered a full rebate on a 15mL $7.99 container of "Blink" brand eye drops (limited to one purchase). They require that you have one of their "Wellness+" cards, which is free.
2. Another option for cheap eye drops is to purchase them at a discount wholesale club, like BJ's. You will have to buy a large box of them, so it's best to try out a single container of the same brand (from another store) first to make sure you want a large quantity. Unfortunately, such clubs don't always offer the same variety of brands/types that pharmacies and grocery stores do.
3. To buy them at even more cheap prices, look for eye drops at dollar stores. For example, some Dollar Tree stores have non-expired 15mL bottles of Murine Tears for only $1 USD (plus sales tax). If you're ever concerned about the expiration date on a low-priced bottle of eye drops, just check the top or bottom of the box and the date will usually be printed there.
