Review: AT&T Trimline 210 Telephone

This is an older corded telephone with modern capabilities and several useful features, including two volume controls, lighted buttons, and a re-dial button.

The volume of the receiver can be adjusted to three different settings (labeled as normal to loud). The ringer may be set to off, "LO", or "HI", with a switch on the base. There is also a TT/DP switch; set it to "TT" for touch tone operation (faster).

In addition to the usual buttons, there is "Redial" and "Mute". The base has a paper card for writing phone numbers. The handset can be disconnected from the base if either part needs replacement. The base uses a standard cord and requires no AC power.

The AT&T Trimline 210 is a reliable unit which is easy to hear and operate. It can be used for any purpose, including calling automated phone systems.

Update: Apparently the AT&T TL-210 telephone can still be purchased new from some sources, including certain stores. It is available in black or white.
