The Arrow model 1919PO Multi-Band Solid State Portable Radio is a medium-sized receiver with six band coverage and a built-in battery charger. It can receive VHF communications (aircraft, police, ham, etc) and weather radio broadcasts as well as AM and FM stations (music, news, talk, sports, etc).
Other features of the Arrow 1919PO include a telescopic antenna and a flexible carrying handle. There is a small world map on the front of the unit. The receiver runs on AC power (maximum five watts) using a built-in cord or DC power (four "D" batteries; consumes 1.2 watts of electricity).
Tip: Sound quality may be better on battery power than AC.
