Apple Macintosh LCII Overview

The Mac LCII is a small desktop-style computer which was sold during the early 1990s. It offers color graphics, a 3.5" disk drive, a hard drive, an ADB keyboard/mouse port, and other features.

A modem or ethernet card can be installed in the expansion slot on the back. The LC II may be connected to an Apple Macintosh-compatible monitor, or an adapter can be used to connect it to an appropriate VGA-compatible monitor.

PROS: Compact, motherboard and memory upgrades possible, low power consumption, lightweight, quiet, parts and accessories still easy to find, inexpensive

CONS: Only one expansion slot, requires adapter to use VGA monitor, can't add more internal drives, no audio output jack
