AIRCASTLE 162F1H RADIO

This vintage solid-state portable receiver covers eight bands worth of broadcasts and communications; PS1 (Public Service), PS2, VHF, AM, FM, MB (Marine), SW1 (Shortwave), and SW2.

The Aircastle 162F1H has a folding lid which protects the controls and tuning scale. It unfolds to reveal them, as well as a world map and time zone wheel. Its housing is mostly black and chrome. The radio also has a small tuning/battery meter.

Most of the Aircastle 8 Band Radio's controls are on the front, but the band knob and a couple of switches are on the sides. One side has switches for "LIGHT ON/OFF" and "POWER AC/DC", next to a couple of jacks. There's a speaker on the front of the radio.

The jacks include one for earphone output and another for connecting an external antenna. The Aircastle 162F1H runs on AC power or four standard "D" type 1.5V batteries.
