This 3M tape gun was purchased a few years ago in a shipping supplies store for around twelve dollars. It included instructions and a roll of Scotch packing tape.

The unit is mostly red, black, and dark grey. It has a plastic and rubber handle and a plastic roll holder, but the rest is made of fairly heavy-duty metal. There are fourteen large screws holding it together. A knob adjusts the tension.

So far it has worked well and it has been easy to use, for the most part. Packing tapes usually fit it, regardless of their brand names.
