An impressive multiband radio with dual telescopic antennas, the Electro Brand 2961 features a large built-in speaker, a direction finder AM antenna and a cassette player. It receives the following bands: AM, CB, SW1, SW2, FM, TV1, TV2, AIR, WB, PB.
Additional features include tuning/battery and null indicator meters, a built-in battery charger, AFC (switchable), fine tuning, a squelch knob and a tone control. It tunes all 40 channels of CB radio, four through twelve megahertz on shortwave and analog TV channels 2-13, among other bands.
The ElectroBrand 2961 Multiband Radio also offers a P.A. function and a switchable dial light, plus earphone, headphone, antenna and input jacks. The controls are all located on the front panel, along with the meters, the tuning scale and most of the jacks.
The radio operates on AC or DC electrical power. To run off batteries, it requires six "D" cells. The exterior is mostly black. An optional carrying strap may be attached to the radio for portable use. The Electro Brand 2961's FCC ID is BLS9RY2961.
