Unlike other Jeep vehicles, the Comanche is a small 2-door truck. The front looks similar to an older Cherokee SUV. Gas mileage ranges about 15-24 miles per gallon (24-29 for the diesel version). According to wikipedia.org, the XLS was only sold during 1986; AMC did not provide this option in subsequent years. jpmagazine.com indicates that the XLS was the best "trim" offered in '86. This was the Comanche's first year; its last model year was seven years later (1993). Jeep's parent company is Chrysler, although it was a division of AMC for part of this time period.
