A lot of great TV shows started or ended in the 1980s. To think you could watch these shows using just a TV and some rabbit ears, though it is now hard to find such enjoyable programs even with a satellite dish. Let's take a look back at TV shows of the 1980s...
Half-hour comedy series included "WKRP in Cincinnati" and "Cheers", which was about the lives of the customers and employees at a bar in Boston. The popular series "M*A*S*H" also continued into the 1980s and led to some short lived spin-off programs.
Other memorable 1980s TV shows included "Highway to Heaven" (starring Michael Landon), "Star Trek: The Next Generation", "Remington Steele" (with Pierce Brosnan), and "Scarecrow and Mrs. King", which followed a housewife and her secret agent husband.
Cartoon fans will remember the popular "Garfield and Friends", which appeared in the late '80s. The well-known half hour series "The Simpsons" started the following year and continues today, having created episodes on almost every subject imaginable.
